Three important photo exhibitions this spring in Italy for photo lovers, whether you like naturalistic photography or street photography.
Wildlife photographer of the year
If you love nature and animals photography, you cannot miss the incredible shots of the preview of the 53th edition of the Wildlife photographer of the year. The exhibition, at the Forte di Bard in Aosta, started the last 16th of February. You can visit it until the 10th of June. A hundred pictures that show nature in every aspects, fascinating details and breathtaking landscapes throught the most beatiful places on earth.
Steve McCurry – Visions
At the Scuderie del Castello Visconteo, in Pavia, you can admire the exhibition of one of most famous living photographers, Steve McCurry. The photo exhibition, called Visions, can be visited until the 3rd of June. It includes more than a hundred photographs taken all over the world, included the most famous Sharbat Gula. I visited this exhibition three ago at Cinecittà in Rome. I can tell that it expresses the philosophy that characterizes Steve McCurry’s works through his career. If you like his style and his work, you won’t be disappointed.
Magnum Manifesto
Magnum Manifesto is the photo exhibition to celebrate 70 years of the most important photojournalistic agency in the world, Magnum Photos. The exhibition is at the Ara Pacis Museum in Rome. You can visit it until the 3rd of June. It shows part of the huge archive of photographs that has made Magnum so important. Just to say some names in exhibition: Capa, Cartier-Bresson, Erwitt, Seymour and more.
